Last night I was watching the lighthouse that shines every night into my bedroom. They’re pretty cool really. Lighthouses guide ships safely to shore through hard times at sea – storms, thick fog and other dangerous conditions. They make travelling safer for passing ships. Sometimes they may even save lives.
This made me think that lighthouses are pretty rare in BUSINESS. There are very few businesses that truly act as beacons of light for their prospects or customers.
People who truly want to help people solve urgent problems in their lives and are not just in it for the money.
It is my belief it is the lighthouse business that will bend over backwards in their attraction marketing and customer service that will develop the most lasting businesses and thrive over the next few difficult years.
You need to elevate your visibility by listening to your audience.

Establish your niche market and research it thoroughly. Then offer people information and value that will help to solve their problem.
For example, the man who is looking for a drill does not want to buy a drill he wants to dig a hole. You give him help and advice on the best way to dig his hole, build his trust and then he will see the need to buy the drill.
A guy who is trawling through online dating agencies is looking for help on how to approach the girl, what to say to attract her etc.
Don’t market products or opportunities, Market Information
